Effective leadership in nursing can take many forms. This workshop will provide participants with the tools needed to identify different kinds of leadership techniques and develop a clear understanding of when and how these can be implemented.

What to expect
During this half-day masterclass, you will learn the key steps required to confidently tackle difficult conversations. Participants will engage in role-playing sessions workshopping real-life (or realistic) examples. You will discover how the role of feedback can be used to aid progression as a leader and help to develop your emotional intelligence. This session will also highlight interview techniques and styles that can be used in senior nursing roles throughout your nursing career.

What you will gain
This course will give you the tools to progress your future as a leader in the nursing team and the steps required to achieve this.

Who will benefit
This workshop is aimed at nurses, midwives, and care workers looking to expand their leadership skills and/or confidently progress in their current leadership role. It is aimed at those wanting to invest in their development as a leader, whether it be as a Grade 4, ANUM, or higher.

Presenter
Anna Grady is a Registered Nurse with over 12 years of experience in emergency nursing around Australia. She has undertaken extensive postgraduate studies including a Graduate Certificate, Graduate Diploma, and Masters. Anna has extensive experience in trauma management,  leadership, and management positions. Anna is currently the CPD Coordinator at HERC, an undergraduate and postgraduate tutor at the University of Tasmania, and an emergency nurse at the Royal Hobart Hospital.
