This CPD workshop will allow participants to complete the basic mandatory training requirements needed to work in the healthcare industry.
Self-paced CPD: This CPD workshop is delivered largely online with a small face to face practical assessment. Participants can complete the online component at any time, and book in for their in-person assessment prior to completing the course.
What to expect: This online Moodle workshop will focus on the five moments of hand hygiene, along with theory-based learning on the concept of aseptic technique, safe manual handling principles, and medication management. In the practical component of the training, we will focus on basic life support, with an in-person CPR assessment. Topics covered during this workshop include:
- Hand hygiene
- Aseptic technique
- Medication management
- Basic life support
- Fire and emergency awareness
- Person-centered care
CPD Hours: 5 hours
This session is only available to those in the south of the state. There will be a small practical assessment on completion of the online portion.
Participants will have access to online training the next business day after registering. This is an online module with a 15 minute CPR practical component to be booked in through firstname.lastname@example.org. This practical session will be held in Hobart from the HERC office in Macquarie Street.
There is limited availability for face to face CPR assessments, as such bookings are essential.
Please note that participants will be screened for COVID-19 on arrival to the practical session. The screening will include a temperature test and a questionnaire.
