On Friday 13 May, North West organiser Marita Meadows visited sites in Wynyard and Smithton delivering merchandise and information to public and private workplaces. Marita met with nurses and carers working in rural Tasmania which included a tour of Smithton district hospital.
The ANMF are involved in consultations regarding the transfer of the James Scott Wing to May Shaw Health. ANMF have attended preliminary meetings at Scottsdale with THS & May Shaw management in conjunction with staff. ANMF will continue to consult with management to advocate for positive outcomes on behalf of our members.
The ANMF have seen the successful negotiation of the relocation of the administration staff back to the CHaPS building in Wellington Street. Having this direct administration support return to the CHaPS area will alleviate some of their current workplace burdens.
