The Calvary Health Care Tasmania enterprise agreement is set to expire on 2 July 2019.  It is time for members to decide what they want to achieve through bargaining.  ANMF Organisers will be visiting wards in all campuses, state wide, in the coming weeks to meet with members to talk about their priorities. In the last bargaining rounds, workload and skill mix concerns were the most important issues raised by members working at Calvary.  These concerns were not addressed by the employer in the 2016 and 2017 agreements, with Calvary arguing that there was not enough evidence to support workload claims.

The ANMF wants to hear from you about your experience at Calvary. Do you have workload concerns? We are looking for specific examples of excessive overtime, missed meal breaks, double shifts, consecutive late-earlies or other rostering issues, lack of experienced staff, and inability to take leave.  As an ANMF member working in Calvary this process is your opportunity to have a say about the future of nursing at Calvary.

Remember – The future is run by those that turn up and your contribution is essential. You are the ANMF and we want to fairly and appropriately represent your views at the bargaining table.

Please talk to ANMF Organisers or Workplace Representative when you see them in your workplace, or email rowena.macdonald@anmftas.org.au. You can also contact our Member Support Team on (03) 6223 6777 or 1800 001 241 (if outside Hobart) to discuss this further.
