Update: Enterprise Agreement

On 5 November ACSAG/Japara’s representative provided a final offer in the negotiations for a replacement Enterprise Agreement (EA).
ANMF met with members on Thursday 15 November at both Riverside and Sandhill to discuss the details of this offer. Members have not given in principle support to the offer.
ANMF have provided a response to ACSAG/Japara’s final position and pressed the claim in regard to equal wage increases for both carers and nurses, penalty rate increases, compassionate leave, a staffing ratio and skill mix, Extended Care Assistant (ECA) qualification allowance, 30 minute paid handover time and paid police checks.
The employer has indicated that they will be putting the final offer out for a vote on 3 December 2018. ANMF will be supporting members to vote ‘No’ in this ballot. Further details will be supplied via a newsflash shortly.
