ANMF Workplace Representative Tom Millen conducted a ballot with all members of the Launceston General Hospital (LGH) Emergency Department (ED) to see if the daily vigils that are a part of the Bring Your Own Bed campaign continue.

There were 128 votes sent out and 74 returned, this is well over half and out of the total votes. The final count was 26 NO and 47 YES to continue the daily vigils.

ANMF members who have been standing out the front of the LGH ED for 120 days straight will continue until the Tasmanian Government provide real solutions to the ongoing issue of bed block at the LGH.

ANMF Representative Tom Millen, along with ANMF officials will continue to work with members in the ED to ensure that the issue of bed block is actively progressed.
