Launceston General Hospital (LGH) Update
7 August 2019
Ward 4N
ANMF officials met with members working on ward 4N on Thursday 27 June, to seek direction regarding the initial workload grievance raised in April 2019. The ANMF can advise that a letter has been sent to management at the Tasmanian Health Service (THS) on behalf of members raising a Step 1 Workload Grievance. We have requested a response to this letter by Friday 16 August and will arrange a subsequent member meeting to provide a report back to members.
Angiography Suite
On Friday 2 August 2019, the ANMF again sent a letter to management of the THS, requesting information regarding the progress of the business case for the additional FTE within the angiography suite. A response to this letter has been requested by close of business Friday 9 August 2019. Once a response has been received the ANMF will schedule a report back meeting with members to provide an update and take further direction from members if required.
Induction
ANMF officials attended the LGH on 29 July 2019, to welcome the next group of Transition to Practice nurses commencing employment with the Tasmanian Government. It was wonderful to see so many new faces and hear their stories. Our team also enjoyed being able to offer advice and support for those seeking it.
