North West Regional Hospital (NWRH) Updates

Surgical Ward  Step 1 Grievance

The Australian Nursing and Midwifery Federation (ANMF Tasmanian Branch) met with members on 17 January 2020 to discuss the progress of the Step 1 Grievance.  The ANMF has provided further information for members consideration and after which a further member meeting will be convened. Member meeting time to be confirmed.

Medical Ward Step 2 Grievance

The Australian Nursing and Midwifery Federation (ANMF Tasmanian Branch) officials met with members working on Medical Ward on 20 January 2020 to review the Step 1 grievance response. Members continue to have concerns regarding sustained and excessive workloads and endorsed a Step 2 Grievance to be raised. As a result ANMF will now attend a specialist panel meeting on 06 March 2020, further updates to follow after this meeting. Click here to read more in the Newsflash.

North West Regional Hospital (NWRH) Medical Oncology Unit Step 1 Grievance

The Australian Nursing and Midwifery Federation (ANMF Tasmanian Branch) officials met with members working on Medical Oncology Unit on 13 February 2020 to review the Step 1 grievance response. Members continue to have concerns regarding sustained and excessive workloads and have endorsed the grievance be progressed to a Step 2. The formal notification of the step 2 grievance is now in process. The ANMF will schedule a member meeting once a response has been received to seek further direction from members moving forward. Mersey Community Hospital (MCH) Medical Day Procedure: Oncology Unit Step 2 Grievance

The Australian Nursing and Midwifery Federation (ANMF Tasmanian Branch) officials met with members working on Medical Day Procedure-Oncology Unit on 11 February 2020 to review the Step 1 grievance response. Members continue to have concerns regarding sustained and excessive workloads and have endorsed the grievance be progressed to a Step 2. Formal notification of a step 2 grievance is now in process. Mersey Community Hospital (MCH) Medical Ward  Step 3 Grievance

The Australian Nursing and Midwifery Federation (ANMF Tasmanian Branch) officials met with members working on Medical Ward on 21 January 2020 to review the Step 2 grievance response. Members continue to have concerns regarding sustained and excessive workloads and endorsed the grievance be progressed. Formal notification of a step 3 grievance is now in process. Mersey Leven Community Nursing

The Australian Nursing and Midwifery Federation (ANMF Tasmanian Branch) officials met with members working at Mersey Leven Community Nursing on 7 January 2020 to discuss professional and industrial issues. Members raised several issues including roster shortfalls and excessive workloads and endorsed a Step 1 grievance be raised. The ANMF has scheduled a member meeting on 4 March 2020 to review the grievance response and seek further direction from members. Click here to read the Newsflash.
