Mersey Community Hospital (MCH) Updates
COVID-19 response
The ANMF have been in regular contact with Workplace Representatives, members and Tasmanian Health Service (THS) management to provide information and support during the COVID-19 crisis. A number of key concerns have been raised including PPE, communication, education, and leave entitlements for safe return to work. The ANMF continue to support and advocate on behalf of our members working in the these increasingly difficult times. Medical Ward
The ANMF recently attended a report back conference with THS management at the Tasmanian Industrial Commission (TIC). The ANMF will be holding further conversations with THS management prior to the next conference with the Commission on 5 May 2020. North West Regional Hospital (NWRH) Updates
COVID-19 response
The ANMF continue to be in regular contact with members, Workplace Representatives and management at the North West Regional Hospital as the COVID-19 situation continues. The ANMF team understand the importance of providing information and support with regards to the pandemic in particular associated PPE concerns, education and leave entitlements. Emergency Department
The ANMF have been consulting with the THS Emergency Department (ED) regarding a proposal to change the shift start and finish times in ED for an interim period during the COVID-19 pandemic response. On 27th April 2020, the ANMF were made aware by members that the THS proposal did not include a paid meal break. On behalf of members, the ANMF have successfully negotiated for all members working in ED to continue being paid meal breaks.
Midwifery Group Practice
The current COVID-19 situation has many members feeling concerned about issues such as PPE, communication and leave entitlements. We will continue to provide members with updates as it comes to hand. The ANMF again thank all members working in this challenging environment for their hard work and dedication.
Child and Adolescent Mental Health Services (CAMHS)
The ANMF have been in regular contact with members as well as THS management to provide information and support regarding the COVID-19 pandemic and issues regarding communication and pandemic leave. Please keep an eye on further updates from us regarding workplace developments.
