Calvary

Elective surgery has recommenced at Calvary sites across the state. The preceding period of uncertainty and now the restart of surgeries has caused significant stress for many members, as rosters and planning have been adjusted. It is likely that things will settle down as Calvary have greater clarity about taxpayer support and are able to plan/roster with more certainty moving forward. However, the ANMF will continue to keep connected with Workplace Reps and members at Calvary sites. We encourage members to contact our Member Support Team with their concerns or for additional support in these difficult times.

In the north of the state, we have received numerous calls from concerned members working at Calvary North regarding a recent request from Calvary management to cease working shifts at the Launceston General Hospital and or other employers. ANMF is still awaiting a response to this request for information.

Hobart Private

The recommencement of elective surgery at Hobart Private has left many members unsettled, however employer support to all staff during this period has been commendable. Any members with ongoing concerns or feedback are encourage to get in touch with our Member Support Team. In addition to this, the ANMF will be contacting members shortly to consult on their Enterprise Bargaining Agreement and other workplace matters.

Midlands Multi-Purpose Centre, Oatlands

The ANMF have followed up on concerns from members regarding after hours safety issues. We have now received a reply from management which was communicated to members via an email newsflash – click here to read. The ANMF note that members have the opportunity to attend a debriefing meeting about these issues with management when conditions permit. If you have concerns about the response from your employer, or would like to discuss any other workplace issues, please contact our Member Support Team.
