North West Regional Hospital
Medical Ward
ANMF Branch Secretary Emily Shepherd, along with North West Organiser Annette Beechey, met with Tasmanian Health Service management on 6 October to discuss the progress of the Step 2 Grievance. Further meetings will be held in coming weeks, keep an eye out for the invite in your inbox.
In addition, the ANMF are pleased to announce the nomination process for ANMF Workplace Representative in the medical ward is complete. We warmly welcome Sally Dobbie to the role. We look forward to working with Sally as she represents and advocates for members in the Medical Ward.
King Island District Hospital
The ANMF are pleased to announce that Kaye Paradine has been elected as an ANMF Workplace Representative. King Island members are now spoilt for choice as Kaye joins Sally Cole and Tanya Stellmaker who have been long term ANMF Reps at the hospital.
North West Specialist Palliative Care Service
The ANMF visited members on 9 October, the eve of World Hospice and Palliative Care Day. It was great to have the opportunity to catch up and acknowledge the valuable contribution palliative care nurses make to our community. “I have worked with many of you and know how dedicated and passionate you are at supporting people to have choices that without your team may not be possible. Thank you once again,” said ANMF North West Organiser Annette Beechey.

ANMF officials on behalf of members, continue to attend weekly roster review meetings that aim to identify workload concerns and ensure safe staffing.
