Aged Care Updates – Statewide

Update from our Member Communication & Engagement Officer

Member Communication and Engagement Officer, Mandy Clark would like to take this opportunity to say how nice it is to be back out and about hosting morning and afternoon teas across aged care sites in the South of the State. Recent visits have been to Southern Cross Care Rivulet formally Bupa, Menarock the Gardens, Regis Eastern Shore, Mary Ogilvy, and Respect Wellington Views. In 2021, Mandy is looking forward to touching base with members in aged care on a regular basis to catch up and discuss any issues they may have. If you would like to arrange to have Mandy or any ANMF Organiser visit your workplace, please contact our Member Support Team.

May Shaw – James Scott Wing and Aminya

The ANMF has received correspondence from members at May Shaw Heath Centre – Aminya Residential Care and James Scott Wing, that workload continues to be an ongoing issue despite interventions put in place by the employer. We will be holding a meeting with members shortly to discuss possible solutions. Please keep an eye out for more details about this via email.

Regis – Legana

The ANMF has contacted the new Facility Manager at Regis Legana on behalf of members. We have sought a meeting to discuss a multitude of workload and safety concerns at the site.  We will continue to keep members updated via email and workplace visits as new information comes to hand.

Masonic Care Tasmania – Fred French and Peace Haven

The ANMF has finalised and sent letters on behalf of members at Masonic Care Tasmania requesting payment of unpaid handover. The ANMF met with members to discuss workplace issues on Tuesday 19 January 2021.
