Healthscope
The Protected Action Ballot closes on 6 April 2021. We encourage all members to fill out their ballot papers and return it without delay to ensure your vote counts and to achieve a 50% + return rate required to make the ballot valid.

The ANMF is negotiating with Healthscope for a new nursing Enterprise Agreement. Workplace Representatives have been provided with the opportunity to attend meetings and put forward their concerns about the present workloads and working conditions.

During bargaining meetings, the ANMF continues to stress that the current excessive and unreasonable workloads need to be addressed in any offer from Healthscope.

ANMF Organisers are visiting wards and units each week to provide members with the opportunity to engage with the bargaining process. ANMF Organisers are on hand to support members and provide the opportunity to discuss any professional or industrial concerns in your workplace.

Calvary Health Care Tasmania
Calvary Health Care intends to put the proposed Agreement out to ballot after Easter and is now preparing the ballot version of the Agreement and explanatory material for nurses. ANMF Organisers will continue to visit all Calvary Health Care sites to provide members with the opportunity to ask questions and provide feedback during this voting process.

Southern Cross Care Tasmania
Southern Cross Care Tasmania has submitted its own Log of Claims after many months of Enterprise Agreement discussions. You can read the full details of these via our update to members here.  The offer includes a wage offer of 1.5% per year starting in December 2021 and the removal of paid meal breaks.  A survey will be sent to all members via email in the coming weeks. The next bargaining meeting is scheduled with the employer for 21 April 2021.

OneCare
OneCare is now proposing to reduce a number of conditions in the Enterprise Agreement, such as introducing 10 hour shifts at ordinary time, reducing the on call allowance rate and removing paid handover time from enrolled nurses. The ANMF strongly opposes these proposed changes and has asked the employer to withdraw them. ANMF Organisers are meeting with members at OneCare sites across the State to discuss the employer’s new position.

South Eastern Community Care
The ANMF is awaiting a ballot date for the draft Agreement.

Christian Homes
The ANMF has asked the employer to begin bargaining for a separate care worker Agreement and to put the nurses Agreement out to ballot.
