Aged Care Updates – Statewide

May Shaw Health Centre

The ANMF has written to the May Shaw Health Centre Scottsdale CEO to discuss substantial concerns with staffing. A meeting will be held when correspondence is received back from May Shaw regarding this.

Masonic Care Tasmania – Fred French

The ANMF held a meeting with members at Masonic Care Tasmania Fred French. Continuously high workloads are concerning members across the facility. The ANMF will direct correspondence to Masonic Care Tasmania for their immediate action.

Regis Legana

The ANMF met with members on the 14 April, who reported they did not receive notification that a staff meeting was scheduled for March. The ANMF will be working with members across the coming months to resolve workload issues.

Glamorgan Spring Bay Community Nursing

The ANMF attended a meeting with management and members at Triabunna on 22 April 2021, where we discussed a proposal to start a weekend roster. Members expressed their understanding of the changes and are generally supportive of the plan. Employees engaged as day workers will convert to shift worker status if they commence this roster. A formal Change Proposal will be forthcoming from THS, once we have received this the ANMF will again consult with members prior to providing a  response to the THS.
