Southern Cross Care Tasmanian (SCCT)
The latest SCC bargaining meeting scheduled for 25 May 2021 was cancelled with very short notice, in fact, it was not even clear in correspondence that the meeting had been cancelled. The employer is working on making changes to the current EA with the intention of modernising (but not changing) the content. The ANMF have offered to work on the re-drafting exercise but the employer is intent on going it alone which means we will need to closely scrutinise the new draft to ensure they have not made untracked changes. We are still waiting on a new wage offer (as requested at the last meeting) and for further discussion around the matter of meal breaks which are difficult for clinical staff to take.
Barrington Lodge
The employer has asked to delay bargaining for 12 months in exchange for a 2% administrative pay rise. The ANMF is surveying members before responding to the employer.

The employer has not yet agreed to bargain for non-nursing staff and will not agree to continue negotiations for nursing staff until the non-nursing staff request to bargain has been resolved. The ANMF will meet with members to discuss their options.
