Aged Care Updates – Statewide

Masonic Care Tasmania

The ANMF raised several workplace issues across both Peace Haven and Fred French campuses. The ANMF met with Facility Manager Scott Rigby to resolve the concerns mentioned in this letter. Members will be updated on the progress of this meeting at upcoming member meetings. Meeting flyers to follow.

Medea Park

Resulting from both the ANMF survey and the recent member meeting, members raised concerns regarding underpayments. In addition, members raised concerns that Statutory Declarations have not been accepted by the employer as sufficient evidence when taking personal leave. The ANMF has now written to Medea Park regarding these matters. We will update members when a response is received.

Discussion for a new Nurses Agreement – the Log of Claims has been endorsed by members and provided to the employer.  The first bargaining meeting was held on 5 July where the log was discussed. Further updates will follow once information is available.

May Shaw Scottsdale (Aminya)

The ANMF met with members on 7 June to discuss several outstanding workplace issues and the letter of response from CEO Fiona Onslow Agnew. Feedback from this meeting will be provided to the CEO on behalf of members.

Melaleuca

The ANMF put a counter proposal to your employer on 21 June, we are still waiting for their response.

Aged Care Deloraine

The employer intends to have a rollover existing agreement for 18 months – 2.5% wage increase to apply from 1 July in line with the wage increase awarded by the Fair Work Commission.

Emmerton Park

The employer will rollover the existing agreement for 12 months and pass on administrative increase of 2.5% from 1 July in line with the wage increase awarded by the Fair Work Commission.
