Important Change to Membership

It is the policy of the ANMF Tasmanian Branch that membership fees be adjusted annually. As such, there will be a small increase to fees effective from the first full pay period on or after July 2021. This move was endorsed by Workplace Representatives and Branch Council in accordance with our Membership Fees Policy and the ANMF Federal Rules Chapter 2, Rule 8 – subscriptions.  If you would like to know more about these changes and have questions, you can also contact our membership department here.

Supporting nurses, midwives, and care workers as the only union in Tasmania employing nurses and care workers to represent members. This is why our Organisers and Member Support Team are uniquely positioned to understand your experiences, represent you in your workplace, and offer industrial advice that’s relevant to you. The Australian Nursing and Midwifery Federation Tasmanian Branch acknowledges the Tasmanian Aboriginal people as the Traditional Custodians of this land. We acknowledge the determination and resilience of the Palawa/Pakana people of Lutruwita who have survived invasion and dispossession and continue to maintain their identity, culture, and rights.

We recognise that we have much to learn from Aboriginal people today, who represent the world’s oldest continuing culture and pay our sincere respects to Elders past, present and emerging.

We respectfully acknowledge the Australian Nursing and Midwifery Federation Tasmania's Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander members, staff, students, alumni, partners, and visitors.

We also acknowledge and respect the Traditional Owners of lands across Australia, their Elders, Ancestors, cultures, and heritage, and recognise the continuing sovereignties of all Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Nations.
