Acute Care Team (ACT)/ Continuing Care Team (CCT): Reform Project

The ANMF has received communication from members involved in the March 21 activation of the Acute Care Team (ACT) and its ensuing effect on the Continuing Care Team (CCT) regarding ongoing clinical/logistical concerns associated with the changes. The ANMF has raised these concerns with local and senior management and will continue to collate feedback for likely escalation. It is hoped that members concerns might be addressed/resolved prior to any actioning of the proposed changes (i.e., alteration to CCT hours of operation). Any additional information/feedback from members is welcomed via our Member Support Team at membersupport@anmftas.org.au

The ANMF met with senior SMHS management on Friday 11 February 2022 to discuss progression of the proposed 12hr shift Workplace Flexibility Agreement (WFA) addressing discrepancies in the current format of 12-hour shifts as they relate to the Nurses and Midwives Award. SMHS, having given their in-principle agreement to the basic terms of how 12-hour shifts should be rostered, have pledged to deliver a draft version of the document by COB Friday 18 February 2022 for review and urgent progression.

The ANMF is pleased to announce the return of Organiser Jenna Bowling from leave in two weeks’ time. The additional resources able to be offered in association with Jenna’s return is envisaged to provide opportunity for re-invigoration of ANMF pursuits/interests within SMHS and we look forward to increased engagement with members in the near future.
