Medical Ward 12 Hour Shift Proposal

The ANMF received a Change Proposal for consultation from THS management on Friday 28 January 2022. The proposal outlines the short-term implementation of 12-hour shifts as an interim safe staffing strategy to support the pandemic response. The ANMF will review the proposal and provide advice to members of their entitlements should they elect to move to 12-hour shifts. Keep an eye on your emails for any updates. In the meantime, should you have questions or concerns please contact our Member Support Team via email at membersupport@anmftas.org.au

A note from our North West Member Engagement Officer Nicki Hood

Nicki has conducted member meetings via Zoom while the NW coast Aged Care facilities are facing uncertain times with COVID. Our thoughts are with members as they try to enforce Public Health directives about visitation to Aged Care facilities. We understand the impact on the mental health and wellbeing of residents when they are unable to be face-to-face with loved ones. Care packs are being delivered to our members in Aged Care facilities across the north west to let you all know we are thinking of you while you do an amazing job keeping everyone safe!

Updates correct as at 3 February 2022.
