ANMF COVID-19 Newsflash: COVID-19 boosters Public Health Order Varied: Aged Care/Disability Workers

In order to be fully vaccinated, it is now necessary for workers in the above work areas to have received two doses of a COVID vaccine and at least one booster shot.

Evidence of vaccination (including the booster) needs to be provided to your employer by no later than 1 April 2022.  Your employer should also notify you of these changes.

If you are not eligible for your booster on 1 April, you must have your booster within 4 weeks of it falling due.

If a person holds a valid exemption, they will be required to wear a face mask when providing care either in a residential aged care facility, in-home care or to NDIS clients.

After 1 April 2022, persons who are not fully vaccinated (including the booster) or exempt, will be unable to work or volunteer in these worksites.  Exception will be if you are not yet eligible for the booster because you recently had your second COVID vaccine however, you must have the booster when it falls due.
