Step 1 Grievance

North West Cancer Centre

ANMF officials met with members on Monday 21 February 2022 where members raised workload concerns and as a result, a Step 1 Workload Grievance has been raised. A response was received on Tuesday 15 March 2022 and member meetings will be convened to discuss the response and seek the direction of members.

Step 2 Grievance

At a member meeting on Wednesday 2 March 2022, the ANMF was directed to formally notify Mental Health Services (MHS) to have the Step 2 Grievance Specialist Panel reconvened. The ongoing sustained and unreasonable workloads, limited access to educator and skill mix issues remain of concern. Members will be kept informed of progress towards resolution.

A note from North West Engagement Officer Nicki Hood

The past fortnight has seen Nicki helping the Northern Organisers with the Roadshow, visiting six Aged Care sites, and speaking to new members about the ANMF. She has also stood by disability workers standing outside Federal Senator Richard Colbeck’s office in Devonport to highlight the vulnerability of people living with disabilities in the current COVID-19 climate. She will continue to letter box drop Aged Care campaign postcards in and around her local community and is also working on getting permission to visit the Waratah/Wynyard and Central Coast Councils to speak with community members there.

Updates correct as at 16 March 2022.
