Public Sector Updates – North West

A note from North West Engagement Officer Nicki Hood

Nicki met Labor Leader Anthony Albanese along with ANMF members to discuss the Aged Care crisis, and she is happy to say Labor is 100% committed to fix Aged Care and fully supports our asks. Nicki has also wobble boarded in Burnie alongside Unions Tasmania calling for better wages and held five member meetings in the region.

Rosebery Community Health Centre (RCHC)

Change proposal – Members Industrial Entitlements

The ANMF is dedicated to ensuring members receive all of their industrial entitlements in a timely manner. Given that this matter has been ongoing for some months with members facing similar circumstances again due to the ongoing reduction of operating hours at RCHC, the ANMF has written to Tasmanian Health Service (THS) management requesting an urgent response. The THS has advised the review should be completed by Monday 2 May 2022.

Spencer Clinic

The ANMF, on behalf of members from Spencer Clinic, has formally raised significant unsafe workload concerns and requested that an urgent safe staffing plan be implemented. We have lodged the dispute for conciliation in the Tasmanian Industrial Commission (TIC).

Updates correct as at 27 April 2022.
