Royal Hobart Hospital (RHH)

Clinical Trials

The ANMF has submitted a formal response on behalf of members to the Change Proposal regarding RHH Clinical Trials and a mooted change to lines of governance. The response of the Tasmanian Health Service (THS) will be made available to members via a separate newsflash as soon as practicable.

Emergency Department

The ANMF has made preliminary enquiries with the THS management regarding a prospective member meeting in the Emergency Department. This meeting is all but confirmed and members will be advised of the date/time via a separate flyer once finalised.

Paediatrics Unit

The ANMF held a member meeting on K6 Paediatric/Adolescent Unit on Wednesday 18 May, which was very well attended with approximately 15 members present throughout. The ensuing conversations were robust and productive, and as a result the ANMF have committed to pursuing the themes of Benchmarking and Occupational Violence and Aggression with THS management. Members will be advised of the progress of such matters via Newsflashes as warranted.

Industrial Action

The ANMF continue to promote their current Industrial Action (Retain. Recruit. Recognise.) throughout RHH, and throughout the THS state-wide. Materials such as flyers, stickers, badges will be distributed to wards and units and all members are encouraged to play an active role in promoting current issues regarding wages, staffing, workloads, and patient/staff safety to support our submissions to the Tasmanian Government for urgent redress of the same. Updates correct as at 26 May 2022.
