Launceston General Hospital

Ward 4O/B

The ANMF has confirmed a Step 2 Specialist panel meeting for the Ward 4O/B workload grievance for Wednesday 15 June 2022. The ANMF will progress solutions as detailed here.

Ward 3D

The ANMF met with 3D members on Thursday 26 May 2022 to discuss current workloads related to overtime, double shift, and skill mix. 3D members committed to the current level of industrial action for the retain, recruit, recognise campaign.

Ward 5A

The ANMF met with Ward 5A members on Friday 27 May 2022 to discuss current workloads related to overtime, double shift, and skill mix. Ward 5A members committed to the current level of industrial action for the retain, recruit, recognise campaign.

Operating Room Suite (ORS)

On Thursday 2 June 2022, the ANMF met with ORS members to discuss solution gained out of the 2021 Grievance. Members acknowledged the current pressures due to short staffing because of sick leave, skill mix and recruitment and retention of staff. The ANMF raised with the THS, at the LGH Safe Staffing committee, gaps with the ORS reporting against benchmarked staffing and worked staffing, and we will provide further correspondence to the THS in regard to this. Members are considering ways in which LGH ORS can support the current industrial action. With all members clear on the need for action on retaining recruiting and recognising Nurses, Midwives and Assistants in Nursing (AIN) in Tasmania.

Ward 5D

The ANMF will be meeting with Ward 5D members on Thursday 9 June 2022 to discuss the current public sector industrial campaign.

Ward 5B

The ANMF met with Ward 5B members on Wednesday 8 June 2022 to discuss the current public sector industrial campaign

Surgical Short Stay Unit (SSSU)

The ANMF is meeting with Ward 5B members on Tuesday 14 June 2022 to discuss the current public sector industrial campaign

Ward 3R

The ANMF is in the process of confirming a meeting with Ward 3R members for Thursday 16 June 2022 to discuss the current public sector industrial campaign. Meeting notice to follow.
