Inpatient Oncology – Ward 9A

On Tuesday 31 May 2022, the ANMF  conducted a member meeting in the RHH Inpatient Oncology (Ward 9A) to discuss current nursing conditions within the unit, in the context of the as yet finalised Grievance dating back to 2021. Members present spoke highly of the implementation of the afternoon Registered Nurse (RN) shift on Tuesdays, Thursdays, Saturdays, and Sundays as well as the use of additional Full Time Equivalent (FTE) garnered via re-Benchmarking at 100% for the sake of Clinical Coaching positions. As such, the ANMF has formally closed this matter and welcomes the opportunity for monthly meetings with local management to ensure any future matters are raised and resolved in a timely fashion.

Updates correct as at 9 June 2022.
