Public Sector Updates – South

Royal Hobart Hospital (RHH)

Industrial Action Wednesday 27 and Thursday 28 July 2022

The ANMF would like to thank all members who participated in last week’s strike action held at RHH Campbell Street Entrance and the Repatriation Centre respectively. The fantastic turnout in terms of numbers and enthusiasm has been instrumental in advancing our Industrial campaigns for the public sector, as well as stimulating unprecedented public engagement via our media outlets. This thanks also extends to the dedicated staff who remained behind in their various wards/departments to ensure patient care was maintained throughout the action.

Neonatal and Paediatric Intensive Care Unit (NPICU)

The ANMF is awaiting advice from Tasmania Health Service (THS) Management regarding a prospective future meeting to finalise arrangements regarding Benchmarking and ratification of the NPICU service against the Australian College of Critical Care Nurses Ltd (ACCCN) standards for intensive care nursing. The ANMF has submitted its feedback in writing and anticipates that this mooted meeting will allow opportunity for a resolution to be met between the respective stakeholders. Members will be advised of any outcome following this event.

Updates correct as at 3 August 2022.
