Mersey Community Hospital (MCH)

Medical Ward Assistants in Nursing (AIN) Trial

The ANMF has received the AIN trial evaluation document and is in process of seeking clarity to some points following which a member meeting will be convened to seek further direction. Watch for the invite in your inbox.

A Note from Community Engagement Officer Nicki Hood

Child Health and Parenting Service (CHaPS)

The ANMF, on behalf of members at North West Child Health and Parenting Service at a meeting on Wednesday 24 August 2022, reviewed the Tasmanian Health Service (THS) response to the Step 1 Workload Grievance. Members unanimously endorsed the ANMF to escalate to Step 2 as the workloads remain. Formal notification to the THS is in process.

North West Cancer Centre (NWCC)

Nursing Hours per Patient Day (NHpPD) Grievance Step 2

ANMF officials met with members at the NWCC to discuss the response provided at the Step 2 Specialist Panel meeting. Members articulated that the workloads remain and endorsed the ANMF to request that the Specialist Panel is reconvened. Formal notification to the THS is in process.

Rosebery Community Health Centre (RCHC)

The ANMF continues to pursue Salary Maintenance

Since December 2021, the ANMF has pursued salary maintenance on behalf of members as the ongoing reduction of service delivery at Rosebery Community Health Centre (RCHC) has had a financial impact on members. On Monday 4 July 2022, we were advised by the THS that the business case for salary maintenance has been approved. As yet, full details have not been provided. As soon as they are available, RCHC members will be contacted.

Statewide Mental Health Services (SMHS)

Spencer Clinic

The ANMF, on behalf of members, continues to monitor the Safe Staffing Matrix as agreed in the Tasmanian Industrial Commission (TIC) via fortnightly meetings. With the exception of 3 shifts the data presented on Tuesday 30 August 2022 shows the available staffing has not met the matrix. A meeting has been arranged with the group director. Please read the full details here.

Members are encouraged to complete an SRLS every time the matrix is not achieved and to contact North West Organiser Annette Beechey via email annette.beechey@anmftas.org.au or the Member Support Team via email membersupport@anmftas.org.au so we can take further action.
