North West Regional Hospital (NWRH)

Emergency Department

The ANMF Tasmanian Branch Secretary, Emily Shepherd, met with members at the NWRH Emergency Department (ED) on Thursday 11 May 2023. We are pleased to announce that the Department of Health (DoH) Deputy Secretary, Hospitals and Primary Health Dale Webster has committed to advertising the Patient Safety Officers (PSO) roles for the NWRH ED within the next two weeks.

Mersey Community Hospital (MCH)

Emergency Department

The ANMF on behalf of members at the MCH Emergency Department (ED), met with Tasmanian Health Service (THS) management and your ANMF Workplace Representative on Wednesday 17 May 2023. The meeting was held to discuss the response to the workload and safe staffing concerns raised, including to develop and trial a “matrix” document or similar that would support clinical decision making with regards to safe staffing. Members will be kept informed of progress with a newsflash sent via email.
