Public Sector Updates – North

Launceston General Hospital (LGH)

Intensive Care Unit (ICU)

On Friday 7 July 2023 the ANMF met with members on ICU to discuss workload issues. Members reported persistent requirements to work overtime and double shifts to cover baseline rosters, diluted skill mix, limited time to complete mandatory training and delayed access to annual leave. As a result, members have endorsed the ANMF to raise a Nursing Hours per Patient per Day (NHpPD) Step 1 Workload Grievance on their behalf. The ANMF is now in the process of formalising this grievance with a letter to management. Further member updates to follow.

Further updates to follow.
