Launceston General Hospital (LGH)

Intensive Care Unit (ICU)

On Friday 7 July 2023, the ANMF met with members in the ICU to discuss workload issues. Members reported persistent requirements to work overtime and double shifts to cover baseline rosters, difficulties with diluted skill mix, limited time to complete mandatory training and delayed access to annual leave. As a result, members have endorsed the ANMF to raise a Nursing Hours per Patient Day (NHpPD) Step 1 Workload Grievance on their behalf. The ANMF is now waiting on the response from the Tasmanian Health Service (THS).
