Public Sector Updates – North

Launceston General Hospital (LGH)

Ward 6D

The ANMF met with LGH Ward 6D members on Thursday 2 May 2024 to discuss the proposed benchmarking for 2024. The ANMF will take feedback from members, and commence discussions with Tasmanian Health Service (THS) North management on implementation of the proposed benchmarking once endorsed by members.

Northside Clinic

The ANMF met with Northside members on Tuesday 23 April 2024, to discuss the proposed ratio model by Mental Health Services (MHS) for acute inpatient units across the state. The ANMF has now written back to MHS.

Intensive Care Unit (ICU)

The ANMF will be attending the ICU benchmarking meeting on Monday 13 May 2024. Following this meeting the ANMF will schedule a member meeting with ICU to discuss the 2024 benchmark and nursing Full time Equivalent (FTE) implications. Further updates to follow.

Ward 4D

The ANMF will be attending the LGH Ward 4D benchmarking meeting on Tuesday 14 May 2024. Following this meeting, the ANMF will schedule a member meeting with Ward 4D to discuss the 2024 benchmark and nursing FTE implications. Further updates to follow.

Acute Medical Unit (AMU)

The AMU benchmarking meeting has been rescheduled from Tuesday 30 April 2024 to Thursday 23 May 2024. Following this meeting the ANMF will schedule a member meeting with AMU to discuss the 2024 benchmark and nursing FTE implications. Further updates to follow.
