Public Sector Updates – Statewide

Seeking Implementation of Associate Nurse Unit Managers (NUM) in District Hospitals

The ANMF is taking a significant step forward in advocating for your rights and equitable working conditions. We have raised a dispute in accordance with the Nurses and Midwives (Tasmanian State Service) Agreement 2023, specifically focusing on Section 16: Associate Nurse Unit Managers [The Agreement].

Our aim is clear: we are seeking the implementation of Associate Nurse Unit Managers (ANUMs) in District Hospitals, aligning with the provisions outlined in the Agreement. This section distinctly states that an ANUM will be introduced on all wards/units for all shifts.

Department of Education, Children and Young People (DECYP)

The ANMF continue to work with Workplace Representatives in an endeavour to re-classify the school nurse role. School based nurses are encouraged to be a part of the conversation and can contact their Workplace Representative or North West Organiser Annette Beechey via email Annette.Beechey@anmftas.org.au or Northern Organiser Nicki Hood Nicki.Hood@anmftas.org.au

Updates are correct as of 29 May 2024.
