Department of Critical Care Medicine (DCCM) – 12 Hour Shift Grievance

Further to our update on Wednesday 12 June 2024, the ANMF has continued to press its application in the Tasmanian Industrial Commission (TIC) concerning ongoing issues related to 12-hour shifts at the RHH DCCM.

This is a matter of Award compliance and the safeguards around 12-hour shifts. The ANMF’s position is that members who are rostered for more than 12 continuous hours should be paid overtime rates once 12 hours is exceeded. Further updates to follow as the matter progresses in the TIC.

Updates are correct as of 7 August 2024.
