Acute Care Conference 15 October 2024

Our annual ANMF/HERC Acute Care Conference, was held on Tuesday, October 15, at the C3 Convention Centre in South Hobart. The event was a great success, attracting over 100 participants from the healthcare sector, including staff, speakers and sponsors, who engaged in valuable discussions about acute care. The ANMF and HERC extend their thanks to all guest speakers and sponsors for their vital contributions to this year’s conference. We look forward to your participation at our next conference in 2025. We stand in solidarity with marginalised communities and against classism, sexism, misogyny, homophobia, queerphobia, transphobia, racism, ableism and ageism. We have zero tolerance for discrimination, harassment and abuse.

The Australian Nursing and Midwifery Federation Tasmanian Branch acknowledges the Tasmanian Aboriginal people as the Traditional Custodians of this land. We acknowledge the determination and resilience of the Palawa/Pakana people of Lutruwita who have survived invasion and dispossession and continue to maintain their identity, culture, and rights.

We recognise that we have much to learn from Aboriginal people today, who represent the world’s oldest continuing culture and pay our sincere respects to Elders past, present and emerging.
