Receptionist
The Australian Nursing and Midwifery Federation Tasmanian Branch (ANMF) is the largest union and professional body for the Nursing and Midwifery workforce in Tasmania, representing, advancing and empowering Nurses, Midwives and Care Workers through leadership, advocacy and active participation in industrial, professional and political issues that influence the lives of our members and the important services they provide to the community. The Health Education & Research Centre (HERC) is an initiative of the ANMF and is a Registered Training Organisation (RTO) providing accessible, high-quality accredited training for health professionals.
About the role
In the role of Receptionist, you will be the frontline voice and face across both ANMF and HERC, ensuring the efficient and effective flow of communication, and operational support across both teams.
You will be based in our Hobart office.
In this role you will:
- Provide exceptional customer service and a warm welcome at the front desk to members and stakeholders
- Triage and manage incoming enquiries via phone, email, and mail
- Manage organisational inventory and stock levels, including stationery, promotional materials and member benefits
- Ensure daily correspondence is sent
- Assist with the preparation of meetings, including coordination of RSVPs, room bookings, catering and material preparation
- Prepare and edit correspondence, communications, presentations, and other documents
- Provide broad administrative support, including records and data management
- Manage vehicle fleet bookings, accommodation bookings and building maintenance repairs
To be a success in this role you will bring:
- Excellent customer services experience
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with an ability to professionally and effectively communicate with a diverse range of stakeholders
- Excellent time management, prioritisation and planning skills
- Personal attributes of initiative, adaptability, flexibility, self-motivation, common sense and attention to detail with the ability to identify needs and act proactively
- Strong computer literacy skills
- The ability to work both autonomously and in a team environment
- A commitment to the principles of trade unionism
