Public Sector State Budget Update

The Tasmanian Government has handed down the 2024–25 State Budget – and once again, nurses, midwives and assistants in nursing have been left behind. The budget sets out the Government’s priorities one page only, with nurses and midwives not featuring at all. View the latest update.

The ANMF has received a formal response from the secretary of the Department of Health following the concerns we raised — both verbally and in writing — on Tuesday 6 May 2025, based directly on feedback from our members. View the latest update.

Updates are correct as of 12 June 2025.
