Medical Imaging

The ANMF attended the second Step 2 Specialist Panel meeting on Wednesday 2 July 2025 regarding the ongoing Department of Medical Imaging (DMI) workload grievance. The ANMF continues to advocate strongly on your behalf to ensure the implementation of sustainable staffing solutions and immediate protective measures to address unsafe workloads. Clinical Trials Unit

The ANMF has received a significant change proposal from the Tasmanian Health Service (THS), dated Monday 16 June 2025, outlining major cuts to the staffing profile of the Royal Hobart Hospital (RHH) Cancer and Blood Services (CaBS) Clinical Trials Unit (CTU). View the latest update  

Emergency Department (ED) and Emergency Medical Unit (EMU)

Following a recent statewide public sector survey and further targeted consultation with Emergency Department (ED)/ Emergency Medical Unit (EMU) members, the ANMF has now formally lodged a Step One Grievance on behalf of members in the ED and EMU in accordance with Appendix C, Clause 5 of the Nurses and Midwives (Tasmanian State Service) Interim Agreement 2013. Ward K10 East

The ANMF has escalated the Step One Grievance raised on behalf of members on K10 East to Step Two of the formal Grievance Procedure under the Nurses and Midwives (Tasmanian State Service) Interim Agreement 2013. View the latest update 

Repat P2 Rehab Ward

Members have rejected Benchmarking and request an extra staffing. The ANMF will schedule a member meeting to discuss this with members soon. 

New Norfolk District Hospital

Executive Director of Nursing and Midwifery (EDONM) Brent Foreman is to meet with the Chief Nurse this week to further discuss the ANMFs’ claim to have AM shift Registered Nurses (RN) and Enrolled Nurse (EN) presence protected. Look out for a meeting soon with feedback.
