A meeting of ANMF Representatives and the Director of Nursing (DON), Dominica Kelly, was held on Tuesday 4 December to discuss recruitment to the Assistant Director of Nursing (ADON), Programme Support.

The DON has responded to members’ concerns by providing the rationale for the recruitment to the position. The DON has proposed refining the Child Health and Parenting Services (CHAPS) meeting structure to improve communication.

ANMF members have expressed a preference for a joint industrial consultative committee. ANMF members will consider this proposal further at a members meeting in January 2019.

ANMF Representatives attended the CHAPS Workload Monitoring Tool working party on 6 December. Extensive background information was provided including a proposed tool that is being used in Queensland.

Further development work is required prior to the tool being trialled.
