2025 Program

Program overview from our Education Manager Ashley White:
When designing the program, I made a commitment to providing learning opportunities that are applicable to every person employed in healthcare. By the end of the day you will have new ideas, insights and tools which can be transferred into your practice and workplace.
Overview of the program speakers and topics:
- ‘Working it out’ will talk about practical ways we can acknowledge and better understand our LGBTQIA+ clients, and how to take this back into our workplace.
- TASCAT will provide important information regarding guardianship orders to allow us to safely and confidentially provide care to those who may not have capacity to consent.
- Michelle Clarke will help us to understand the primary care role for those living with dementia and how this links into other pathways and services, streamlining care for those who most need familiarity and seamless transitions.
- Anna Holliday from Relationships Australia will equip skills to build relationships which can ultimately assist with our workloads, trust and reputation.
- To finish the day, Relationships Australia will be facilitating their ‘Death Over Chocolate’ workshop (valued at up to $1000 per session, included in the price of your conference ticket). This session is about normalising conversations about death and dying. It shouldn’t be taboo as this is a time where no one should feel alone.
This is a contemporary program which does not shy away from the real issues we face in healthcare today.
I am so excited to learn from these presenters, and I hope to see many new faces who are too.
