ANMF announce Aged Care Excellence Awards at conference in Launceston

The Australian Nursing and Midwifery Federation Tasmanian Branch (ANMF) will be announcing winners of the annual Aged Care Excellence Awards at the Aged Care Conference in Launceston tomorrow, 12thApril. Media are invited to attend the awards ceremony between 10.45am and 11.05am in which the three winners will be announced.

“It is great to take time out and acknowledge the hard work that staff put into caring for their residents in aged care. Nominations received during the application process highlighted the level at which these individuals go above and beyond each and every day,” said Executive Director of the ANMF, Andrew Brakey.

“It is a real privilege that the ANMF has each year to hear the stories of, and recognise, Nurses and Care workers who are striving to provide the best care to their clients and improving their quality of life.”

The ANMF will be holding a trade table at the Aged Care Conference tomorrow to speak with attendees about the need for staffing ratios in aged care and how people can get involved in the national ANMF Campaign calling on political parties to stand up for the elderly by making ratios law.

Media are invited to attend the Aged Care Conference tomorrow to witness the awards and speak with the winners after the ceremony.
