Update: Change proposal

17 April 2019

The Australian Nursing and Midwifery Federation have been advocating for Crisis Assessment and Treatment Team (CATT) members since December 2018 following a change proposal to the CATT Roster. Since this change proposal members have reported concerns regarding the rostering of one day off. A series of monthly consultative meetings since January 2019 culminated in the ANMF sending a letter to Mental Health Services Management requesting all future rosters will have two episodes with a minimum two consecutive days off duty per fortnight. In a letter of response from Mental Health Services Management to ANMF it has been agreed in principle to cease the practice of rostering members one day off. This is great news for our members who are working under considerable strain because of excessive workloads and consistent under-resourcing.
