Unions ramp up with statewide stop work actions TODAY and TOMORROW

Tasmania’s public sector unions (ANMF, HACSU, CPSU, UFU, United Voice and AEU) will be commencing statewide stop work action today in response to the Hodgman Government’s continuing failure to deliver a competitive wage offer to members.

The first of three events will kick off today with a one hour stop work at the Burnie Arts Centre at 2.30pm, before a 9.30am event at Launceston’s Civic Square tomorrow morning and a 2.30pm event at City Hall in Hobart.

Thousands of public sector members are expected to turn out to in droves to each of the events to show the Tasmanian Government that their current offer is disrespectful and that they have had enough.
