The ANMF have been advocating for our members working at the Launceston General Hospital (LGH) Emergency Department via the Tasmanian Industrial Commission (TIC) to ensure real outcomes that are going to assist our members to work safely within the department. There has been a commitment throughout this process to roster more nurses to work as an interim measure to ensure safe staffing while the longer-term solutions are worked through by the Consultative Committee following the recommendation of the TIC.

There is also consideration being given to establish a significant capital works project that will see a safe and organised process for ambulance ramping. The ANMF will attended a Consultative Committee meeting on Wednesday 15th May 2019 and will feedback details to members via email shortly.
