In September 2018, the federal government announced a Royal Commission into the aged care sector. The Royal Commission into Aged Care Quality and Safety focuses on residential aged care, home care and dementia care, as well as the care provided to young people with disabilities who live in residential aged care facilities.
As you may be aware, the Royal Commission into Aged Care is coming to Tasmania this October and November with planned stops in Launceston and Hobart. If you are interested in lodging a submission, speaking with the ANMF about adding to our submission, or just attending either of the events, then click here to learn more.
