Statewide ANMF visits

The ANMF’s Communication and Member Engagement Officer, Mandy Clark has once again been out and about visiting members at their worksites and hosting morning teas for staff at numerous Age Care facilities. Mandy recently met with members working at Huon Regional Care to discuss their Enterprise Agreement and any concerns regarding the process. Southern Cross Care Yaraandoo

The ANMF attended an open forum meeting with staff and management at Southern Cross Care’s Yaraandoo facility on Tuesday 8 October 2019. This meeting was to discuss staffing, rostering and other matters. ANMF will be scheduling a follow up with members to discuss the concerns raised at the meeting.

Glenview

The ANMF met with the officials at Glenview on Wednesday 2 October 2019 where a response was provided to the nursing staff log of claims. The ANMF expressed concern that no context was provided for rejecting members’ claims and no counter offer was put forward in respect to any claims. The employer agreed to revisit both the nursing and non-nursing logs of claims and to provide its position at the next meeting which is likely to be held in late November 2019.
