Bupa South Hobart: Aged Care Royal Commission Hobart hearing

During the Aged Care Royal Commision hearings in Hobart today, BUPA South Hobart Former Regional Directors and Heads of Services’ a culture of cost-cutting and staff reductions despite known issues and concerns came to light.

An ‘open slather’ approach to cutting staffing hours
During a testimony this morning, an email from a colleague of Stephanie Hechenberger (Former Regional Director, Bupa Aged Care Australia at Bupa South Hobart) was cited as stating “There are no sacred cows, and anything is possible” when she was looking at rostering staff for the facility.
