The Australian Nursing and Midwifery Federation Tasmanian Branch is proud to be celebrating 2020 as the Year of the Nurse and Midwife in honor of the 200th birth anniversary of Florence Nightingale.

2020 – The Year of the Nurse and Midwife

The ANMF is stepping into this year in celebration the ongoing contribution of nurses and midwives to the health and well being of communities around the world, as well as the excellence demonstrated by nurses, midwives and care workers here in Tasmania.

There are so many exciting ways to get involved with celebrations! The Australian College of Nursing (ACN) has launched online portal full of events and resources to explore. Why not start by finding out about the “Nightingale Challenge 2020” which aims to have at least 20,000 young nurses and midwives, aged 35 or under, benefiting from leadership and development training in 2020.
