Nurses and Midwives EA Ballot: Update

The Australian Nursing and Midwifery Federation (ANMF) Tasmanian Branch released communications to members on the 23 December 2019 in regards to the ballot for the Nurses and Midwives Agreement being compromised

The ANMF made a request which was approved by the Government to re-ballot members through the Australian Electoral Commission (AEC). This was to ensure that the ballot cannot be compromised, and members can have confidence in the results. However, the AEC have advised they are currently not conducting industrial agreement ballots and have made recommendations for alternate providers of this service.

The ANMF are currently liaising with the recommended companies by the AEC to establish new ballot dates from the AEC. Once confirmed the ANMF will communicate with members once these dates are confirmed.
