North West Regional Hospital

Surgical Ward  Step 1 Grievance
The ANMF met with members on 17 January 2020 to discuss the progress of the Step 1 Grievance. Members requested ANMF obtain further information after which a further Member Meeting will be convened.  You can read the full newsflash here.

Medical Ward Step 2 Grievance
ANMF officials met with members working on the Medical Ward on 20 January 2020. The Step 1 grievance response was reviewed during this meeting. Members continue to have concerns regarding sustained and excessive workloads and endorsed a Step 2 Grievance.  The ANMF, on behalf of members, have written to THS management requesting a specialist panel be convened to resolve members concerns. Medical Oncology Unit Step 1 Grievance
ANMF officials met with members working in the Medical Oncology Unit on 16 January 2020 to discuss professional and industrial issues. Members raised several issues including excessive workloads and endorsed raising a Step 1 Grievance. A formal notification of the Step 1 Grievance has been requested by the 6 February 2020. Following this, the ANMF will schedule a Member Meeting to seek further direction from members moving forward. Read the full newsflash here.

Medical Day Procedure – Oncology Unit Step 1 Grievance
ANMF officials met with members working in the Medical Day Procedure-Oncology Unit on 23 January 2020. During this meeting members discussed professional and industrial issues. A number of issues were raised including excessive workloads. As a result, members endorsed raising a Step 1 Grievance. Formal notification of the Grievance has been submitted and a  response has been requested by 6 February 2020. Medical Ward  Step 2 Grievance
On 21 January 2020, ANMF officials met with members working on the Medical Ward to review the Step 2 Grievance response. Members continue to have concerns regarding sustained and excessive workloads. As a result they endorsed the Grievance be progressed. The ANMF will be relaying member concerns to management.  A further meeting will be called once a response is received.

Mersey Leven Community Nursing

The ANMF met with members working at Mersey Leven Community Nursing on 7 January 2020 to discuss professional and industrial issues. Members raised several issues including roster shortfalls and excessive workloads. As a result, they endorsed a Step 1 Grievance be raised. Formal notification of the Step 1 Grievance is being finalised with a response expected by 10 February 2020. The ANMF will schedule a Member Meeting to seek further direction from members once a response has been received. Read the full newsflash here.
