ANMF Office and Member Support Team contact
Like others in the community, ANMF staff are required to follow the directions of the Government as part of steps to limit the spread of COVID-19. As such, our staff have now relocated from the office and working remotely. This is one step that we are taking in order to help protect the health workforce and reduce the incidence of community transmission. While the office is no longer ‘open’ it is still possible for members to contact the ANMF for advice and support. We want to make it clear that it is business as usual, just delivered differently.
As you can imagine, our Member Support Team, have been extremely busy as the crisis evolves and members queries arise. In order to receive the fastest response from the team, they ask that members seeking their services, where possible, please email rather than phone during this time. You can click here to send an email to the team, alongside your issue, please provide an outline of where you work and whether you are full time/part time/casual. Our Member Support Team will then be in contact with you, either via phone or email, to assist. If a face to face meeting is required, one can be organised (with appropriate social distancing being observed). Aged Care employers, in particular, are currently reluctant to have ANMF staff attend workplaces but meetings can be run using either tele or video conferencing platforms.
So, we might be working from remotely, but we are still here for you and continuing to advocate on your behalf.
Support
Nurses, midwives, and care workers like you are at the heart of the current COVID-19 pandemic. You are facing incredibly difficult times but we would like to remind you that the ANMF is here for you and so are our friends at Nurse & Midwife Support. If you need workplace advice or assistance, please contact our Member Support Team. If you would like to debrief or speak with someone regarding stress or mental health issues, Nurse and Midwife Support are available 24/7 for confidential support.
But one thing that has become clear over the past fortnight is that the community is also with you and want to support you. We are compiling a list of the top offers and groups available to you. From online groups to local hospital food delivery we want you to know about it. Check out our website for all the info. Know of others? Get in touch! Email marketing@anmftas.org.au
